I have converted our wagon to HEI and was wondering If the old lead to the points dist. could be used to send power to the elec. choke. 12 volts at ign. is what I lookin for right?
Any reason it wouldn't work?

It will work but depending on the choke coil resistance, the choke will only see around 8 volts. Though some people don't like to use the wiper wire, I've tied it to the yellow wiper wire to give the choke 12 volts.

On my 70, I used the +12 volt supply which used to feed the TCS solenoid. Been working great now for almost 8 years and over 170,000 miles.
