I'm in the process of doing a frame off on my 69' convertible. The guys that are doing the body are at the point of putting in the under the seat floor pan. The problem I've run across is the aftermarket pans I bought do not match the floor in my car. I don't have any pictures of my car floorf.
But, the aftermarket pans I got are just like these http://www.ss396.com/mm5/merchant.m...ct_Code=RSP-682&Category_Code=SHEETMETALFLOOR
The ones in my car look more like the 64-67 pans

I would appreciate it if any of you guys could send me pictures of the under the seat pan on your 69'. I'm sure the 68'-72' would be the same. The indentions in the aftermarket pan are off as well as the seatbelt brackets on the back.
Thanks for the help!

Rubadub, Thanks for the link. That pan under the rear seat looks like mine from what I can tell. I wish I had a little closer picture of the indentions in the pan... Is the convertible different from the hardtop? From the feedback I'm getting it seems like it might be...

Now I just wonder where I'm going to find the right one???

I'm assuming this is a concourse restoration your doing? I never realized the difference until you brought this up, of coarse my originals had been patched so much may be why I didn't see it. The fit and function of the "new" style was no problem, just wondering why your concerned. It may be a situation like the 3pc. trunk kits, I read they were stamped for a 70,thats why the ribs do dont line up correctly for the 68-69's,but still they will work. Perhaps these seat pans are copied after 70-72? Just thinking out loud here. I have no idea where to find the original style pan.

Yeah, I'm trying to keep everything as correct as possible. I'm thinking maybe there is a difference between the convertible and hardtop. My body guys had a LH side from a 70' convertible they did several years ago that is correct so I just need to find the RH side to match. Haven't had much luck as of yet. Everybody sells the same ones it looks like. Although that ebay link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...STRK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=4606652781&rd=1,1 has the correct one. I'm waiting to hear back from them if they can sell me just one side.
Thanks for the help and pictures.

Brent, if the panel grooves and indents don't line up, its not that hard to take out or make new ones.

TRUNK PANEL

HOME

This is a piece of original trunk panel, with a solid steel bar. Goodmark front panels don't line up with the factory groove. This works really good and it's fast. Picture number 2, open the vise about that much. Lay the flat bar in as far as you want the groove, and hit it pretty hard. Those Goodmark panels are pretty easy to groove. Picture number 3 shows the groove about 5-6 inches long.

Hey Rob, thanks for the tip but I'm trying to find the correct under seat pan. I have the trunk finished. Any tips on where to find the right under seat pan?
Anyone else have any input on convertibles being different than hardtops in this area?

Ethan,
Thanks for the link. Thats actually the right rear floor pan. I'm needing the right pan thats under the rear seat. The floors seem to be the same with the exception of the area under the rear seat.

No problem Ethan, they have a couple of under seat pans on their site. The US made one is wrong for my car and I couldn't see the other one from the top to know if its right. I emailed them for more photos.
Thanks for the link looks like they have some good prices.
