I picked up a 2 core, 1" radiator in aluminum. Right now my crank and water pump pulleys are 1:1 at 7 ". I'm looking at a slightly smaller water pump pulley 6.25". I think this will be a favorable under drive to add a little more flow from my stock pump.

An article in in July Muscle Machines advised getting an under drive for stock pumps with cars not consistently running high RPM but doing slow car show cruising and long idle time in hot climates (me in So Cal).

Anybody have an experience in the do's or dont's on this issue. I think my ratio of under drive is just mild enough not to cause an issue.

PS: I am not going with electric fans....but staying with a 6 or 7 blade flex fan and a good shroud.
