Doing a frame off on my 69 SS, want to keep it stock, was thinking of painting the under side of the body the same color as the top. Just thought it might look cool with mirrors at shows. Any thoughts on this ? Will it defer the value of the car ?
They probably used an oil based paint from the factory. I just use Rustoleum thinned a little bit with mineral spirits so it can be sprayed in a gun. It's also easy to touch up down the road if you need to, I have never had that problem. I don't have to deal with any major rust like in the east. I use phosphoric acid first before I spray on the Rustoleum.
