I have a 1970 Chevelle SS with a 350 engine.I pulled my dash apart to put front speakers in. Everything worked fine before I pulled the dash apart. I've put the dash back together and reconnected everything, but now I have problems with the turn signal lights not working. When I turn on the headlights they work fine. However, both turn signal lights come on at the same time, and they do not blink right or left. Also, the lights for the gauges do not light up. I checked the harness plug for the lights and it was plugged in OK, but the wires going to the harness were very HOT! Are they suppose to be hot? Thanks...Dangee

I'm assuming you remove the whole dash and not just the top dash pad.
Both turn signals and gage lights are out. May have not connected the dash grounds. If the 70 is in the same place as the 72 they are under the dash near the e-brake cable and screwed to the dash frame below the headlight switch.
