I'm looking at a '69 SS396 right now. Beautiful car. Has all the "SS396" hardware on the outside.
My question: The interior of the car has no "SS" emblems anywhere. It has a wood steering wheel, but no "SS" emblems. Does this mean it isn't a true "SS"?
69 SS396 cars should have the SS emblems above the glove box and on the door panels. The steering wheel should have one too,but if the optional 3 spoke sport wheel was ordered,it would have a Chevrolet bowtie.
Does the car have any documentation? Is it matching #'s?
