I'm looking at a '69 SS396 right now. Beautiful car. Has all the "SS396" hardware on the outside.
My question: The interior of the car has no "SS" emblems anywhere. It has a wood steering wheel, but no "SS" emblems. Does this mean it isn't a true "SS"?

69 SS396 cars should have the SS emblems above the glove box and on the door panels.The steering wheel should have one too,but if the optional 3 spoke sport wheel was ordered,it would have a Chevrolet bowtie.
Does the car have any documentation? Is it matching #'s?

If you have more questions, post the VIN and the numbers off of the bowl tag in the tag team forum here.

Check inside the quarter panels to see if there are holes where a malibu emblem would have been.
