i thought the original car weight was around 36-3800# with the sbc?

Can’t imagine when the aftermarket starts selling hub motors for electric conversions at a decent price.

Is it just me or is something missing ?! Like the rumble of something? Can place it.

Seriously, I wonder how many of use could live with no sound. Especially in an old car. I mean, I'm a CRAZY ABOUT SQUEAKS AND RATTLES ! I will take my wife with me sometimes just so she could crawl all over the car while driving to find them. Everything has to be tight and if its not, at least I cant hear it over the 'classic car sounds'.

Also disappointed at the PWR output of the rear. Battery produces 1100HP and its detuned for 550 because the rear cant handle? Or am I confusing it. Smart guys though and thought most of the mods were tasteful.

Another story to long for here but the short, is I was in Norway for an extended time several years ago and was awarded a speeding ticket. Left it unpaid and they tried to collect as I left in an unpeculiar way. They weren't happy.

Can't get used to no noise and limited range... Otherwise at least it looks good and not like the new Electric cars do...
The no noise thing is an issue in populated places...Pedestrians that are looking at their phones rather than where they are walking are being run over or knocked down because there is no engine noise. Some cars have a little beeper when signal is on to warn others they are moving slowly and turning...
Maybe it is the future... Darwin effect...??? 😆

Ya'll need to check out Bodie Stroud's work. He's putting together a 34 Vicky EV conversion for Tim the tool man Taylor.

Right now he's struggling w/ the wiring because the guy doing the work left w/ no information left on the work.

Yes, I agree, it's missing ANY sound. I remember seeing a video some time ago that featured high-end RC cars & trucks. Some guys even had speakers installed that simulated an engine revving and roaring.

Been watching that --- but I'm a year behind. I do like the one episode where the videographer asked Tim what sound he was thinking using. He replied that he wasn't sure and she responded that he should use his famous "grunt".

Casey even with my 2019 ST I couldn't run someone over if I tried. It will stop the car or drive around an obstacle and that concerns me more then no sound. Everyone is upset at electric power where I am concerned that I will end up as a passenger in my own car. But the power is what I am waiting for. With the 1 million mile battery due out next year and a car I can charge off my solar I can't wait. I wouldn't convert an old car because with all rattles that we can't hear over the exhaust just think how noisy they would be.
