Man, I thought FOR SURE that my Chevelle would be out by now, but nope. I can only work on it one day a week, so if I run into a part that I havent ordered or cant get locally, I have to wait another week. Lame.
Anyway, at this point I have replaced two brake hoses, three brake lines, two calipers, one drum, pads, shoes, master cylinder, two wheel cylinders, my gas tank and sending unit, fuel lines, tires, rims, new intake, carb, wires and ignition, fuel filter, air cleaner (and holder), oil, antifreeze, plugs, valve covers, thermostat and housing along with the battery. And I still dont have it RUNNING YET! SHEESH! (Intake/carb/distributor/master cylinder are going on tomorrow). I may, just may, be two working days away from driving my beast.
There is nothing cheap, quick or easy about bringing a 40 year old car back after 19 years of storage!
Oh ya, I hadnt owned a classic car since my 68 Camaro Convertable that I had in high school, so the other day I closed the hood on my chevelle FROM THE SIDE and wound up putting a six inch long, 1/4 inch wide scratch TO THE METAL in my driver side fender! ARRRRRG!!!!
