Quick question, I have been working on a second set of front fenders for a 70. I was at the paint supplier they other day and he told me to use this spray to treat rust. It turns the rust black and you can prime over it after 24 hours. The front of the fenders I have down to clean bare metal, it's parts of the back side that's hard to get into Iam talking about. I've read a lot of posts on using POR 15 (which I have used) and Eastwood rust encapsulator. Does this spray really work that well? Other wise I think I'm leaning trying Eastwood rust encapulator product on the back side. Thanks for any help. I'm making less mistakes by asking first.

can you have them blasted front and back? That will get it all off. Then use an epoxy primer.

Other than that, POR works well, you just have to make sure all the scaly rust, paint, and grease are removd (and I do mean ALL).

Skip the rust converter. It really does what is says - it converts iron oxide to iron phosphate. The trouble is, it only does it to the top layer, leaving rust underneath.

I had them media blasted, but it doesn't get the heavy rusts area off very well. The fronts came out great. I think I will take them to a sand blaster for the rear part, it shouldn't cost all that much since they are all ready clean of paint. The problen is only in a small area up front and the lower back section. Thanks Richard for the responce.
