Is the "typical" 200-4R strong enough to be behind a mild big block, or healthy small block?
I know the Grand National transmissions were able to handle them, but I'd imagine they have some different internals, and aren't like what you'd find in a cookie cutter 6 cylinder Cutlass or similar.
There's a local guy to me that has a rebuilt one for what seems an OK price. I have a T-400 so I know the front yoke is different, but hate to take the leap of faith and break it with a little sissy 396/402 engine.
