Is the floor shift transmission (350) cable adjustable on a 72? It's hooked to the transmission bracket with a cotter pin and the shifter with a retainer clip but I don't see how it can be made shorter or longer.
Isn't there an adjustment on the tranny were the cable hooks up. The block were the cable attaches to usually has a 1 inch slot that it can move back and forth.
The adjustment is on the other end, closer to the carb than the trans. Large plastic knob looking thing. The center pulls out and with the engine OFF have someone put the throttle to the floor than snap the plastic thing back in.
