transheild vibration

Ok so I installed a trans sheild onto my chevelle, I was able to get it in with a little beating on the floor pans. I am pretty sure that it is the cause of a vibration I have been having. Most noticable at 2K then slowly goes away, but it still slightly there while making a pass.

I am wondering if this could cause damage to any part on the drivetrain? Or anything of that nature.
