So I through up a quick post on Craigslist SF/ Sacramento for my Chevelle. NOT for sale... for trade. I did this about 9 months ago and met a few dudes. If I were to trade it would be for a 64 or 65 in equal condition and whatnot. So I post this and in bold I say It is NOT for sale nor for trade other than another Chevelle/ Malibu.. .I was very nice! So I get this guy emailing me with an 84' Buick... haha.. he is so white trash he barely speaks english. I wrote back.. somewhat nice and ended it with "are you serious" he then wrote back again, even more difficult to understand very insulting... so I wished him luck and told him his "Al Bundy car isnt even worth my rear tires"

I tried advertising in craiglsist when I was looking for a project before I picked up my 68 el camino. I posted I was intered in 72 and earlier camaro,nova,chevelle,el camino. I got a offer on mid 80s cutlasses, late 70s novas,imports. 74 chevelles. and all sorts of stuff. I posted I had a $1500 limit and really wanted to find something. In the end a coworker just down the street had this el camino sitting in his back yard for $1500.

I posted about my 67 elky that I wanted to sell it or trade for a older chevy, like 72 down only. I must have recieved about 6 emails from 6 different people wanting to trade for mid 80`s Camaros. Almost traded it for a 53 F100 project but ended up selling it to a guy back east.

I have usually seen nothing but junk advertised on craigs list in my area.
Must be the place to sell junk and rejects.

You're going to have people try and offer you stuff you aren't looking for.

Just this weekend I had a guy offer me a '99 mercedes E350 (or something) for my wagon...

I replied that it wasn't worth it...

I had two people offer me $2500 (I was asking close to $4K)...

I had someone email this morning saying they "had $1000 today" ( they didn't say they would give me $1000 for the car, just that is what they have today)... I said "okay" and am waiting to hear back... When they do respond, I am telling them I'll take the $1000 as a deposit and hold it for a few weeks... :sad:
