i am taking my 1972 chevelle daily driver to the track for the first time ever this weekend and am hoping for at least high 13s. What do you all think. My combo, 350, stock vortecs, comp cam 268h, edelbrock intake, edelbrock 650 carb, 9.5 to 1 cr, 1 5/8 hedders, 1900 stall, 700R4, 3.55 posi. I am hoping on beating one of my friends truck for bragging rights which runs 13.90s.

You should be right in the 13.6-13.9 range no problem.

I think you will see some 13's if it hooks well...

If you really wanna win the grudge match go get a set of DR's. This way you can put all the power you have to the ground. You will be pissed if you lose because you spun hard out of the hole! With the 3.55's and 3.06 first gear in the 700r4 its gonna turn the tires over pretty good!

You will have a hard time hooking with those tires, but when you get the carb and ignition tuned right your combo easily has enough suds for mid-13's with traction.
