Went to dyno day and took toys for the tots. The numbers were 460 and 433 tq. The tq is low because the dyno started at 4600 (tq peak is back at 4000) I think the tc is stall is moving up a little. Last time tq was at 525 and started at 3500. Now it is time to pull the engine and sell the heads on ebay. I plan on ordering the afr's from Mike at Lewis as soon as they are sold. With the new heads I am hoping for over 500 at the wheels and 10's in any weather. I have to try and keep up with Jason (dragracer). Hopefully next year we will host a Team Chevelle get together at the track in the dfw, tx area. Later......

Don't mean to thread hijack but what kind of heads are you running right now? 460 at the rear wheels sounds pretty dang good congrats.

Frank,

Nice numbers!! Quite a bit higher than the last time I saw it on the dyno a few years ago at the NTCC dyno day at Speedworks. The tweaks over time seem to be paying off. I would expect a pretty big jump with the new heads.

Where did they have the dyno day?? You should have sprayed it broke the 600 RWHP mark!

I've dropped the new engine in the car. Can't wait for the season to start. Looking forward to spending some time at Denton next year.

Hey Jason, it was at RPM in Lewisville. I did not have the nos hooked up this time (would have been nice). I am ready to see yours run at Denton as well. Maybe next year you , me, Matt, and any others in here can spend some time at the track.

rich1978, they are the merlin rect. ci heads with pacaloy springs, tit retainers, etc... All new parts, just freshened up recently. THANKS

ss454, the 525 was torque number on the dyno when it started lower on the rpm scale. This time it started after 4500 and was on the down side of the tq curve. THANKS
