I have a 1971 chevelle convertible with a console. Has anyone succeeded in installing a GM touch screen display so you have a navigation system, satellite fm am radio and clock.

I have a Ram Mount on my center console that My phone sits on for all of that. If im driving it all week to work because of good weather, I mount a Samsung tablet on it. Does all of it.

Might look at aftermarket head units that have touch screen display and navigation built in. Screens are better, audio and tuning is better, built in back up cameras with options for more inputs, dvd... The downside is you have to use your phone for the navigation part of it but it works really well and also allows bluetooth calls. I have a Kenwood in my DD and love it. If I could swing one for my chevelle and make it look right, that's the direction I would go.
