Took our '71 Chevelle to it's second car show of the year. Just hasn't worked out for us to do as many as we would like to do. Was very pleasantly surprised to place #12 out of the Top 20 from a show with about 140-145 cars/trucks total. Was sure not expecting such at all. The Chevelle shows well but I know where all the Gremlins are, it's not a Barrett/Jackson car, just a nice solid driver. And for an added attraction I am scheduled next month to make a Kansas Veteran's Honor Flight to Washington, DC all expenses paid. Vietnam Wall, WW2 Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Arlington National Cemetary, and more. Totally stoked for both the the car show award and the trip to DC. Have classmates from High School and guys I served with both from Germany and Vietnam on The Wall. Am sooo looking forward to the trip. Just wanted to share and was totally surprised at the award.
