Does anybody have Torq Thrust with rear drum brakes? I'm curious how much of the drum will see through if I change to these wheels. Wondering if I should take the plunge and convert to discs nor or if it can wait. Pics much appreciated. Thanks!

this the closest pic i have right now with tt2's with drum brakes.my opinion you can wait.they look ok. would look better with discs,but..... cant do every thing at once.also my rear rims are 18x10 so the drum looks even smaller.

One of my other concerns is how much backspacing might change when converting from drums to discs. Makes me want to wait on the wheels until getting that done... do you guys know if it changes much? I have a 66 Malibu.

You guys running running a 10 inch wide wheel how much back spacing are you running?

I have a 1970 and I want to run 10 in wheels in back I was thinking I want 5.5"

Disc brake rotors are a little thicker in the center than the drums. Which will move the wheels out maybe 3/16.Also Torque Thrust wheels are thicker in the mounting surface than a stock wheel so you will be needing longer wheel studs. Not a big deal just something to remember.

yes 5.5 backspace on the chevelle.i have 295 tire and have plenty of room.
