Great news Petie, I am in the process ( a very slow process that is) of building a 496 for my '69 Malibu. I would like to make a 500hp and 525 lbs torque out of some factory parts.
What kind of hp are you making?
Sounds like you are real pleased with the engine....good luck.

Congrats Petie.I feel your pain..I've yet to roll open the secondarys fully.My little 461 is a beast at half throttle and fully understand why you do not feel the need to spray the stroker at this point..Care to share your combo with us?Is she mild or wild?

i'm not sure but i had a 413sb w/alum dart 215 pro-1's fully ported w/2.05/1.60 valves,640 solid roller cam w/13.5 cr....it put out 586hp and 553tq and it is "WAY STRONGER THAN THAT MOTOR @ PART THROTTLE"

yes the crank is a scat 9000 cast steel....

It'll never be fast enough. My first combo with this car went 11.20's at 118 on 10" tires. Not anymore though!!!

I agree, show some excitement. LOL
But, I know how he feels for when I first drove my new combo I was equally as pumped. It's nice to see so many other guys are building a similar combo to mine. It seems like a lot of the 454 guys have stepped up to a stroker.
What are we gonna do next year fellas.
