I can see a very slight dimness from the headlights when I hit the brakes, or when the turn signal is flashing, or when the wipers or heater blower operates (blower seems to dim the headlights in progressive steps as you incrase or decrease blower speed). It looks like a systematic problem, eventhough the battery is an 800 CCA, the alternator is a CS130 on a 350ci- all in a '70 ElCamino.

Also, I sometimes use a walkman radio while driving (afraid to install stereo until I get electrical squared away) and can hear a snap or pop each time I hit the brakes or flash a turn signal?

Anyone out there had this?
Thanks,
Patrick

I don't have an instant answer but things I would try in order to find/eliminate it.
Both the blower and headlights share a common ground from the battery. That's the little 12 gage wire from battery (-) to the right inside fender. That clean secure and tight.
Next I'd check the voltage at a few different points first with the car idling and blower/headlight off then repeat with them on.
Places I would start with are:
Battery
Back of alternator
Positive (red wire) on relay terminal.
BATT terminal on fuse block.
Looking to see if there's a large drop somewhere.
