Got a set of Boss 338's (18x8 & 18x9.5) comin this week for my budget driver El Camino and need to know what the best tires size for the least cost I should go with? I was thinking either a 225/40, 235/40 or 245/40 for the front and either a 275/40 or a 285/35 rear? Will a 225 be enough tire on an 8" rim? My truck sets low and I need to watch my fender lip when turning, thats why I might go a bit smaller front then I have now (17x8 with 245/45/17).
Thoughts?

Not bad, but front end needs to come down with that tire size.....who's 70 is that?
The Gold Chevelle is on the American eagle wheel site.
When I bought the 285's I wanted the 295's which the 555 didn't have. Settled for the 285
