Guessing you're working on a 200-4r transmission based on previous posts... check out this video(fast forward to 9:17)for how to do it after you drop the pan.
spoiler alert: Just use the round end of a 3/4inch combo wrench as the 'connector tooth compressor' and pull connector out. Then insert connector with a new o-ring (note that it's actually a turbo 400 transmission single pin connector you're using in your 200-4r if you want to buy a new one with o-ring)
