I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A TILT COLUMN FOR MY 65 CHEVELLE, AND IT SEEMS LIKE THEY COST FROM $300-$600[EXPENSIVE AND HARD TO FIND].
I HAVE BEEN FINDING SOME TILTS FROM 67-68 CHEVELLES,AND THEY SEEM TO BE MORE COMMON AND AVAILABLE.
SOME QUESTIONS:
[1]WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE FOR 67-68 COLUMNS;AND THEIR RELATIVE AVAILABILITY?
[2]WHAT OTHER INTERMEDIATE GM CARS HAVE IDENTICAL COLUMNS TO CHEVROLET?
[3]WHAT PROBLEMS AM I GOING TO RUN INTO BY PUTTING A 67-68 COLUMN IN MY 65 CHEVELLE [I HAVE AN ORIGINAL WOOD & STAINLESS STEERING WHEEL THAT I WANT TO USE].
AS ALWAYS, THANKS FOR THE HELP!

I also own a 65 and I just picked up a tilt column at a swap meet for $300. It was totally rebuilt, this seems to be the going rate. Also check with the company ididit steering columns they make a column for our cars in steel and polished aluminum.
