Might also try using a lond 3/8-16 bolt in one of the pressure plate mounting holes.

Thread the bolt in far enough to catch the bottom of the block when turning the flywheel,
and put a piece of rubber hose on the end of it to keep from buggering up the threads.

The bolt should poke thru enough to catch the area around the oil filter if tightening---the starter area if loosening

Just did my flywheel that way worked perfect. Should use 30w oil or assemble lube on the bolts.
I have always used blue loc tite.
