  Ok this is a 1971 chevelle SS454 w/M-22 4speed. One of my dads friends owns this car and refuses to sell it. He is a total pack-rat and will never get finished with any of his other projects to get to restoring this car. My dad was with him in 73 when he bought the car from the first owner. He has NOS fenders, NOS Functional cowl hood, NOS Cowl door setup, NOS hi-po chevy cam, and an assortment of other NOS parts for this car. He Also has in the barn next to it, two 64 velle wagons, one is two door 4-speed. He also has an assortment of NOS parts for these cars too. He also has a 67 velle 300delux wagon, also with NOS parts. All of these cars are numbers matching. I could care less about the wagons but its the NOS stuff and the SS that kill me. Here are some pics for you guys. I told him if he ever want to sell it call me first, and if he dosent want to sell it put me in his will to get the cars:D CAUTION PICS ARE VERY VERY SICKENING.
The worst part is that the only thing that is not orig on the SS is the shifter.  The worst rust on the car is in the fenders other than that the orig body panels could be saved.

Man, what a shame. I know of a small airport in California in a small town that has a huge lot of classic cars just sitting in a hanger. A 1964 Impala SS, An early Coronet with a 440 wedge dual carbs, 56 Caddy, 59 Caddy, a Pontiac convertible with the 421 engine and a few others. I asked the guy if I could buy them but he said they will never be for sale. I asked the guy in 1999 and to this day they are still there. Ahhh if I could get my hads on them!!!!

My El Camino has stuff stacked on it, stuff stored in it. I also have a lot of NOS trim for it in the house. I DO plan on finishing it one of these days. It just takes time and money, and around here, it's usually one or the other missing from the equation. Of course, if you want to give me $20k for it, it's all yours. I've got way more than that in it over the past 19 1/2 years I've owned it. The sad thing is, my wife would probably just have it hauled away if I died tomorrow.

Too many things on that car that arent original like, seats, steering wheel, wheels, knobs on radio and lights, 5500 red line tach and what looks to be white instrumentation. If he decides to come off of it id check it real close.

You must be confusing this for a '70 Chevelle...the pictures shown have all the correct options for a '71 SS454.

It's better to be sitting idle, preserved, than wrecked/stripped/crushed/modified/etc. because someday, some lucky stiff WILL get this car and restore it and it will be one more classic to continue the fine heritage.

Your thinking of a 1970. How could you tell the radio knobs are wrong you cant even see them in the pictures. Good Eye:D Forgot that the radio is also not orig but he has the orig one somewhere in his house, and he didnt cut up the dash for the aftermarket one. I have no reason to believe that it is a clone as like I said my dad was with him when he bought the car from the orig owner in 73.

Its got Goodyear Eagle ST tires, Didnt they quit making those in the late 80's? When was the last time it was driven?
Well he bought an S-10 new in 83 so Id say around then was the last time its seen the road. It sat outside for 15yrs after that and about 9yrs in that garage.

How much do you guys think the NOS stuffs worth. Seat covers, Functional Cowl hood, Cowl Flapper door set up, front bumper and other misc. trim parts.

The lucky stff would be me hes not selling now but Im workin on getting hime to sell it, and IM not gonna rip him off either by trying to get a deal. This is my dream car, I have always wanted one.
