There is a trick that makes the seat handling lots easier. Remove the seat backs from the base and you have 3 easy to handle parts instead of one cumbersome monster. I have done it this way when it is time to replace the upholstery. Put the backs onto the bottom after it is in the car, then bolt it down.
This is hard by yourself
I took the front seat out of the 66 today. This was a little difficult by myself with out tearing carpet or scraping the paint on the door . A steel hood is hard to do too.
