Will I be able to get 500hp\500tq & keep it under 6000rpm?
Here's what I will be working with.
AFR 190's
RPM with a Qjet
Leaning toward a hyd. roller
looking at SRP pistons with a 16cc reverse dome, they put it at about 9.4-1
6 inch rod & probably Scat 9000 crank

I like too have the hp peak 5500-5800. Does this sound like too much to ask for?

Don't even worry about HP in a street engine. Go for the most torque starting from idle. If you can make 500 Ft. Lbs. @ 4500 RPM, you won't care that you don't have 500 HP.

If you didnt mind running a solid flat then I think you would really like the current cam I am running. It has great street manners and runs good at the track. Mine peaks power right in the range you are looking for......

Don't mind the solid flat deal but I kinda wanted to go with a hyd. roller & give it a shot.

Anybody tried the XFI lobes from Comp? Thinking if you got one tightened up to 110-111 instead of 113 they might do better with a carb.

Yeah I talked to Mike Lewis about them for my car. He said they would work well with the lsa brought down to 110 on my motor. He liked the XFI-280.
