Went drag racing tonight, normally the converter stalls to 4000 but after banging it off the transbrake last week it started having problems. Normally the car 60' in the mid 1.3's and tonight it went a 1.6 and then got worse..... 1.8 and a 2.0 !!! It was very lazy coming out of the hole; but once it got moving it pulled pretty well. The car did a good burn out and had no problem there; did not labor, stall, miss fire, etc. The only problem was coming out of the hole either on or off the brake. The most I could get the car to stall was right around 2000 off a foot brake, normally it will go 3500 +.

I have very little experiance with auto's. I have always had clutch cars.

Did I kill the converter, anything I should check besides pulling the tranny ??

john, we were disconnected - I'll talk to you later.

like i said, usually when the trans or converters goes, it's the opposite - high stall and lots of slip. I would take it apart and find the problem!

Did half of your sparkplug wires fall off? LOL LOL
