Just got back from the Outlaws concert...Last time I saw them was .....1977 or '78 at Madison Square Garden on 4th of July with all the bottle rocket wars, M-80's and fire crackers going off and the entire place with a haze of a certain happy smoke :) . I was 12 years old and my dad and I went..

So they decided to play at this local bar last minute when there big gig got cancelled I had a 10 minute drive to get there :beers: ...For $20 I was in the front row leaning against the stage almost getting hit in the head by the guitars with a couple buddies and all these hot chicks dancing behind us. 2 warmup bands that played Molly Hatchet and Skynrd and the Outlaws for a total of 5 hours of music.

I just had to write this as I have been to more than 200 concerts but this one really stood out.....What a Show.

If anyone likes HARD Quality Guitar playing and pure musicianship I highly reccomend seeing them...

Philly tomorrow night and then Pittsburgh on Sunday or Monday.

I keep watching their website to see if they are playing anywhere near by and keep coming up empty. I've heard they are a great show and a tight band.

How about this for a show, Jonathon Edwards,Marshall Tucker,Pure Prarie League,Outlaws and Charlie Daniels Band all one show at a little outdoor venue up here in ct. called Pinecrest Country Club a local radio station every year had what they called the wplr picnic , it was back in the late 70's when they new how to put on concerts and it didn't cost a fortune. I was a little older than 12 then and you could bring kegs , coolers etc, aaahhh the good ole days. Any of you older Ct members ever go to any of those old pinecrest shows?

I've been to but one real concert in my life "Aerosmith" and I barely remember half of it, too much liquid pleasure :D I saw "Pure Prairie League" in a small pub one time. I like the song "Amy"
MY father is still really into hard rock, has seen them all that's how I have seen so many concerts...I have ticket stubs...Rush...$10.99, ZZTop..$7.90..this was Madison Square Garden

Bob, I saw Aerosmith as well (when they didn't WHINE all their songs  ), in fact they were the first concert I ever went to...THEY were the warmup band..Cape Cod Coliseum, 1970 or '71...I was 6 yrs old. Blue Oyster Cult was the headliner.

I only go to concerts now when I can get super good seats..They are so expensive now...

'bout the only concert I'll splurge the cash for would be a Rush concert.

Instead of going to graduation parties on my last day of high school, we went and saw the Scorpions & Bon Jovie at the Phila Spectrum. What a show!!!

Now THAT was funny. :D

I remember my Dad going to see Queen about the time that Iron Man came out. Imagine what could have happened to me if I got "inspired" by ol' Freddy boy up on stage! ;)

My first concert was Aerosmith back in 1987 at the Richmond Coliseum.Cost $14 dollars. I went on to see other shows over the years like Van Halen,Robert Plant,Rush, Ozzy in 89 No Rest For The Wicked Tour,(First tour with Zakk Wydle).Best show i went to was Metallica 1992, Where Ever I May Roam Tour. The concert tickets kept going up every year!I remember seeing the Kiss Reunion Tour back in the late 90s,big price tag there! Crazy prices these days. But then again i went to see John Bonham's son Jason Bonham, and his band Bonham at a small club a few years back, and didnt cost but $10 dollars! What a show that was! They played tons of old Zeppelin songs, opening the show with Immigrant Song.If you closed your eyes, you wouldve thought it was John Bonham on the drums! Amazing!

Only band i would spend the money to see now would be Metallica,(even tho Im not into there newer stuff) They still ROCK Live! Also if Elvis came back from the grave, id have to see that! LOL!
Then again I would like to see 3 Doors Down and Black Label Society...

I saw Motley Crue about a month ago in Louisville...$75 for a ticket!!! But, they still rocked. Mick Mars is really a pityful sight, I heard he has a degenerative spinal disease.
I'm going to see Def Leppard and Cheap Trick this coming Wednesday night. I saw Cheap Trick earlier this summer for FREE at a show in Nashville as part of the Rusty Wallace Last Call Tour, was about 10 feet from the stage. Good show.
My first concert was Pink Floyd in Lexington back in 1987...they are my favorite band ever since! Absolutely unbelievable! I've seen most of the big acts (Van Halen, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, etc.) and NOTHING was like seeing PF.
Only three acts left I really want to see...Rush, Blue Oyster Cult and Bob Segar.

I won a pair of tickets for Motley Crue on Dec. 14th here in Honolulu. Got them from the morning show, 4th try on a question nobody could get, my buddy tossed out the answer to which I said "no way", but gave it anyway, and won. :D I'd invite him, but he just moved back to Pennsylvania last week. :( So I go down Tuesday, get my voucher, go to the box office, and they hand me a free pair of tickets, 6th row center. Any show is good when you're that close. :D

Darren, congrats on the free score there guy! You'll really enjoy the show. If you have ever been to a Motley Crue show, you know what to expect. If you haven't, a word of advice...don't take your wife, your mother-in-law, your preacher or most importantly...your son or daughter if they are under the age of 16! The show I saw was definately an "adult" show. I loved it but, there were kids in the audience who had no business at that show. Another thing, its definately an "audience participation" type show...if you get my meaning. PM me if you want specific details.

I seen them earlier this year on the same tour. Awesome awesome show. One of the better stage performances I have seen in a long time. It was like a freakin' circus on the stage. Incredible.

Like sad above, don't bring anyone that you don't want seeing things. Lots of boobs and even some semi lesbian acts on stage.

Do not miss the concert, it rocks.

I saw the Outlaws in a bar in Fort Lauderdale in 1982. The place probably only held 200 people, but it was one of the best shows I've ever seen, and LOUD. A guitar army!

OK!!!, so you all like southern rock, and i'm right there with you. i'm going to tell you a story now, that is completly true as of last week. turn out the lights, and get your smores ready. everybody ready? this story is soooo scary that some of you might not make it till the end, before you faint, or worse.

local radio station is having a contest. you call in, answer a question correctly, and win tickets to see 38 special, in a small venue, here locally. woman in my office, calls and wins. she comes to me and asks, if i know, 38 special? i say hell yes! they rock!!!! she says she won tickets. i tell her, that's great, and if she can't make it, i'd be glad to buy them from her. now heres the scary part, a few days go by, an ominious envelope is delivered to the office. she takes it, and carefully opens it......it seems the radio station ran out of tickets, so they substituted the 38 special tickets for....are you ready? can you stand it? they replaced the tickets with the next show to come to the venue, and that next shoooowwww would beeeee, FRIGGIN!!!!AIR SUPPLY!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHGHGHGHGHGHGHHRRR!!!!!!! PUKE!!!!!!!!

we called the station, and even though they apoligized profusely, they said there wasn't anything, they could do. they just miscounted the tickets, and it was the best they could do. ok, now you can all go get towels to clean the puke off you keyboards.....
