Will, I finally got my 9sec pass. The car should have been into the 9's this Spring, but I have been fighting one issue after another this year. Finally ran a 9.94 @ 131.5 friday evening . Also had a new best 60' of 1.37. The car definitely needed a fresh tranny. The car was on even a faster 1/4 mile pass later friday night during the Street Car Challenge races, but the race is 1000' , not the 1/4 mile, so I did not get a 1/4 mile time slip. I hope to see 9.70's this fall in good air, or maybe even better in some mine shaft air that we rarely get here in the Midwest. I my try to go down south this fall with Garret if we get chance.
By the way, I'm up to the number 2 spot in the fastest top 10 street car challenge here in SW Missouri. I will not be at the #2 spot long, because the top 3 cars did not show friday night. But I will take it and enjoy the spot while I can!

Congrats! A single digit slip was a big goal of mine, and was awesome when it finally happened. Now start whittling it down! Lol

Yeah...it`s amazing how tough it can be to get that elusive 9 second time slip after running 10.1`s then 10.0`s and throwing everything at it, time and time again.

Then it all comes together and POW..FINALLY !!!

Feels good huh !
Well done.

No videos. Congratulation faster guy than me.. All motor? Brake? Foot brake?
Yes Nate, it is still all motor. I foot brake it. I don't even come up on the converter any. I leave from an idle. That seems to be the way my ATI Tree Master and suspension works the best. I'm still running 3.73 gears, but may chance to 4.11's. The motor is a bbc 454 2 bolt block, bored and stroked to 496, good set of heads, 13.5 to 1 compression, on E-75 pump fuel. I also have a good fuel system on it, 8an return system with a big electric pump. I have the suspension working pretty good now. We weighed it this spring at the 4 corners and have the center of gravity real close now.
