Well everyone my gf (Nicole) and I have done it! She is now driving her truck! its been a rough bumpy road finging one problem after another with the truck. But hey it was sitting a year lol and it was all original!
We have a few things we need to finish up on it but nothing that will take more then a few hrs wrench time
We also need to get an exhaust system on it soon she is putting around open headers lol.
I have a big THANK YOU to all who helped with the engine and going with a 454. The recent electrical issues and the suspension help.
The truck is still multi tone paint/primer/rust on the outside but pop the hood or crawl underneath and shes as clean and pretty as can be!!!
Body work will come soon and then it will look as good as it handles and sounds
So here is what we have done to it and the specs on it. . .
-74 C-10 shortbed fleetside
-Slamed to the ground with a 5/6 inch drop done with 3" drop coils and 2.5" drop spindles up front and a flip kit in the back.
-Manual steering no plans for power anytime soon if at all its very easy to drive
-15x8 Amarecan Racing wheels wraped with BFG T/As with 235/70s up front and 275/60s out back
-454 650cfm Thunder avs carb old style Torker II twisted MSD streetfire dist manifold peanut port heads Lunati 60203 cam Hooker full length headers and soon to be Hooker Areo chamber mufflers 3" system ending before the rear tires. standard oil pump with high pressure springs 5qt pan running VR-1 oil
-TH350 built buy the best shop in town. They did so many tricks to this thing to make it live a long life behind the BBC. Its not to firm but you feel it shift
-3" steel driveshaft with solid 1310 joints (she is low and slow so no need for the 1350s)
-12 bolt one legger with 3.73s (one day it will have a locker and 3.55s)
This thing is solid as a rock with ZERO issues (so far knock on wood lol). We drove it around for a bit yesterday with the temp prob in the head this thing never reached over 195* at idle oil psi was at 30.
So here is a vid of her truck which has been named Creepy!
