Help I have TH transmissions in my 69 Malibu, my 68 elky and my wife's transam.
When parked, and stored for the winter they ALL leak large quantities of tranny fluid (like several quarts).
When I drive them they don't leak. What is going on?
I cant tell were the leak(s) are coming from either.

Convertor drain back and add-on cooler drain bacl puts fluid level above dipstick o-ring. Cleanup the floor and re-fill the trans to proper level and run 'em....

The other point of leaking during long storage, is the shifting lever
my th400 would puke 4 quarts over the winter. I redid the O rings and put new pan gasket and next year same thing... the gear change lever was the problem.. just another area to look at .
