One of my mentors said this is the warning shot across the bow of the industry that they are about done with the cast cam business.

Don't need a 2 pc billet core. Morel's cast coated gear will run just on std billet no issue.

Better start looking into electric drive train swaps. Make it easy with hub motors or bolt on to the transmission don’t want to give up rowing gears.

It has happened. The self-righteous activists have convinced, nay, bullied the powers that be into buying into the idea that The Sky Is Falling. This is the result.

When the ICE is gone and with it the easy culpability, who is going to be around to hear "I told you so" when it is proven that ICE far less impact on the climate than the fear mongers would have you believe? Too late then, 100+ years of development ash canned because of personal beliefs being made official policy. ICE done by 2035 in Canada. I collect old outboards, I'll bet they will come after them next. Balance and levity are not in style, activism and self-righteousness are.


Chroming is the next item in the EPA crosshairs. If it is automotive, the EPA is going to sick 'em. Never mind that hard chroming is used for many industrial uses and will continue. Chrome prices have gone up as a result of EPA compliance by 10X and is officially through the roof. All of the agencies should be renamed the "Automotive Antagonist Agency" since really they exist to be a daily thorn in car makers sides. Car-haters making laws concerning cars. Nothing could go wrong with that...
