The 2 prong lead is just for illuminating the dash idiot light and the pin-out on the dash plug for idiot lights vs. gauges is completely different, so you can't just re-use the wire. The conversion kit should have come with new wiring and instructions to allow you to run a new wire from the new temp sender and connect directly to the gauge (going through the bulkhead connector on the firewall). I found the wiring kit for my conversion kit, but not the instructions, so that's as much help as I can provide at this time. I never planned to use the conversion wiring because I simply bought new full SS gauge dash and engine harnesses (all of which I have yet to install).

2 prong on a 70 is for passenger side TCS.
Single is drivers side for idiot light or gauges. You must have the correct sender for the type of unit in the car (gauges or light).
