I am thinking of going to a different set of VC for my 67.
Am undecided on whether to get the tall, I like the look, or regular height.
Can anyone with tall VC's get me the measurement as to how tall they are.
Maybe from the mounting flang top to the top of the valve cover?
I have an 11" booster and want to make sure they would fit.

Thinking of these:

I'm thinking that I measured approx. 4.5". But they are tapered at the area of the booster on one side and the heater hoses on the other. I just purchased Summit 440404 valve covers http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-440404/ for my 1970 chevelle 454 and they would not fit with my Delco Moraine 11" booster. Since I had just bought the 11" from Jegs...I returned it for a 9". The 9" is practically identical to the 11" just smaller. Stamped Delco Moraine. Now with the 9" booster the tall VC's fit. I tell no difference in braking and the Master cylinder distance is the same so there was no modifying of the brake lines. See the valve cover attachement pics below.

Greetings from Arizona
When I replaced BJ's (wife) Elcamino motor last year it came with rollor rockers...so I needed tall valve covers, I had to remount and redo all my brackets for factory A/C, Altenator, and power steering. It all worked out but added a bunch of time and the belt sizes were problem also! Jay

Man, there was somone who posted on here about 2 weeks ago with tall valve covers that had the correct corner to get around the Power brake booster. Do a search on Valve covers and i will do the same and post the results. Those looked good and shoudl fit RR's, I am looking at getting them myself.

This is the place I was thinking of but their website seems messed up. Maybe its temporary?

Thanks for the replies.
I think I'll measure the stock short ones from the top to the booster and see how much extra room there is and then call and see how tall the ones I was looking at are.
