I had so many problems with my taillights. I installed a new harness (the old one was hacked to pieces). The problems still are happening. The brake lights don't work or the taillights when the lights are on. I concludes it was the ground on the left side. It works when I move the bulb in the socket a bit. I replaced the bulb and if still does not work. It seems to be the bulb is not touching in the socket to the wall of the socket. Any fixes? JB Weld on the bulb?

The bulb doesn't need to touch the walls of the socket. The two locking "ears" on the bulb will make a good enough connection. This is with a brand new socket and bulb? Have to ask. Is the bulb in right? One "ear" is higher than the other.
No, JB Weld won't work.

had same problem, turned out to be the two tabs on the botton of the socket were not makeing good contact with the bottom of the bulb. get paper clip bend into L shape and pull the tabs up a little bit. also make sure the light socket is twisted tightly into the tail light houseing.

Thanks for the info. It is not a new socket, just a new bulb. I'll try the paper clip thing to get a good seat on the contacts. Thanks.

Dielectric(spelling)silicone/grease. Get some use it on all your bulbs/connectors. Best thing since toast! (well maybe not)
