i went to clean up my tailgate hinges (70 el camino) to prep for paint and noticed that one had major slop and plastic bushing chunks hanging loose. so, i found some brass bushings that worked at ace and after fixing it noticed the other one seems to be twisted (the excess play allowed the other to move out equally, at first glance they looked identical with the extra slop) ...i don't remember ever having any issues with the gate closing, latching or being seriously misaligned, so, heres my question: should i flatten the twisted one and start from there?...should i try to install "as is" and see whats up from there?....anyone know if they should be pretty much flat, or a bit twisted?...anyone happen to have a set uninstalled?....theres a couple of pics in the "el camino" area. thank you in advance for any help.
