I just ordered a set of new Tail light sockets from NPD. (For Brake, turning, and parking). I double checked with them, and they were sure I was ordering the correct ones for my 69 chevelle. The sockets that came in have three wires on them and are the type that need to be pushed in and turned a few degress to lock. The type in my chevelle have only two wires and are just pushed in the hole. The new sockets don't work, and I don't want to install the wrong ones. I rechecked the NPD catalog, and it appeared that I ordered the right one, which are the ones that they sent me. I need to find a place where they sell the push in type, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Fred.

Try different parts stores because some will have a selection of different sockets. You won't find an exact match but should find one that works. The 3rd wire is likely a ground which would be nice to have if you can find a plug-in socket with it.
