I recently purchased on older Sun Supertach II. I have tried to install it on my 69 chevelle. It will run up to about 3,800Rpm's then stops. I have a flame thrower distributor that does not have a spot for the tach. The techs continue to say run it off the coil. They recommended putiing a 0.01 1000V microfered capicator inline to the coil. They indicated that has been successful in Autometer tach installs.
I really could use some advice, this thing is killing me. I just don't believe this should be so difficult.
The wiring on the tach is red/black/ blue /green. Sunpro indicated to use the green wire to the coil and blue to the lighting switch.
