A while back I posted a question about the wiring on my tach which has not worked since I bought my '72 El Camino 350. Thanks to the
help I received was able to trace it back.It tested fine so I thought I'd have to buy a new tach. Then Sunday morning all of a sudden it started working, and has worked since. Any ideas as to what was wrong, so if it stops again I'll know what to do?

Intermittent problems are the worst to chase. How far did you get when you tried to isolate the problem the first time? Was the tach getting voltage? Did the tach have a good ground? Did the Tach trigger wire look ok with no damaged spots?
I guess I would repeat the steps that you did the first time. Something sounds like its not making a good connection but hard to say where if it is working.
