Tablet PC-Installing OS???

My daughter bought a new Gateway M275 tablet pc from pcpartsunlimited but didn't realize it doesn't have an OS installed. Is there a specific software for this type of pc or can I load XP Pro on it and then download Microsofts "free" tablet pc upgrades? If anyone knows where to purchase software specific to this please let me know. TIA Pete

I'd contact Gateway and see what they recommend. You will likely need specific drivers to make it work correctly, and a standard operating system might not have what you need. Surely they have software made specifically for it so you save lots of hassle getting it working right.
