I bought a switch that screws into the trans and works off pressure, I haven't done the swap yet so can't say how well it works, Monster Transmissions in Hudson Fl also sells a similar kit

I was not too clear. I would like the same kind of switch (vacuum). Just a different manufacturer. And one you could easily mount to the firewall. Just read an article saying you should hook to ported vacuum. Currently I have it hooked to manifold vacuum.

Summit has the TCI vacuum switch #TCI-CMP3766B for $30 and it is meant to work with the $150 wiring kit TCI-376600.
I do not have a recommendation on any specific model, but I found plenty of options for lockup switches at Summit here.

I have a $99.00 Electric with an oil press sending switch. For my 700R lockup. Start the car stick it in O.D. it shifts at factory specs. 13 - 36 -- 55 & loc /up. Why this type ??? NOT a dam thing to screw with, Put it in gear and drive it shifts up & down and I do NOTHING. It shifts just like my Silverado, WHY? Its a cruiser, The wife and I go on some long trips in my FAKE 1970 SS 454 Sta. Wgn. NO BUTTONS,,, NO SWITCHES,, NO GADGETS ! How well does this system work? I installed it 14 or 15 years ago and just a little over 65.000 miles on the " SIMPLE SYSTEM ", So I guess its an " OK " set up ! I tell the wife or anyone that drives, Stick it in " D " and go. I just love the " KISS " method !

This is a P.S. Yes you can play with the shift points up and or down. I just want something that would work and have " NO NEED for a flight manual " CHECK LIST " to drive the dam car. Some Outfits have this type of an IDEA for a SIMPLE SHIFT KIT...................... " Lets not make this difficult,,, Lets work at it and make F##KEN Impossible "....................................
