hey i know that there have been a bunch of post on this "sweep dahs to SS style dash, but i have a lil bit of a differnt question here it goes.

i currently have a sweep dash in my 71 chevelle. i got an ss style dash from a buddy, my question is will i need a new wireing harness..but.. im not going to be using the stock guages, i will be using after market gauges such as autogage or auto meter?

as long as you can read schematics and do some soldering you can make anything work with anything. Of course nothing is going to be a plug in deal if you are using aftermarket stuff.

There are a couple of pictures in my showroom of an SS dash (darrylsdash) converted to aftermarket gauges. The existing harness can be adapted easily.

nice dash...what size gauges do you have in where the idiot lights belong?

Speedo & Tach are 3 3/8", Fuel Gauge is 2 5/8" and the rest are 2 1/16". This dash is in a friend's 70 Chevelle.

I'm going to bring this back up to the top because someone in another thread is interested in doing the same conversion.
