134.99 Assembled, No stock. Made in Tacoma too.

Over at ARFCOM they say these are real good recievers, apparently these guys subcontract for Armalite and Spikes Tactical amongst others.

The .22, you mean the new S&W one? That thing looks pretty cool... The Umarex/Colt is UGLY.
My buddy Al at Bens said the S & W ones aren't that great. They like to spit extractors out and double feed  I was thinking more the Remington 597 VTR  Cheaper and more reliable, and they have cheaper, high-cap mags for them as well Remington 597 VTR

Win win in any scenario there :D

135$ is dirt for an assembled receiver though. Stocks are easy to come buy and put together. And then you could go with damn near any upper you'd want. Have yourself a decent AR for under 600$.

Anyone planning on going to the monroe swapmeet?
I believe I have two spots to use if anyone has anything. I'm up in the air if I'm going to ttake anything. May just show up for part of a day and window shop.

I've heard about the extractor issue, but the double feeding is new to me. .22LR ammo seems to be very erratic in terms of quality from my reading so maybe thats the cause?

If you are going VTR why not just put a stock on a 10/22 and call it a day? The VTR setup is very close to the Nordic AR22. A Tapco T6 costs about 100 bucks and adds a pistol grip, LE stock and a couple of rails. Or you could buy an RB, Nordic, Axiom, or Archangel stock.

I was looking at ammo prices last night and I'm not sure how I'll be able to afford .223... But 9mm uppers are pricey too. I wonder if anyone will let me put an Upper on lay-away? I think an Oly 9mm upper with a Hahn block would be the trick, plus a bunch of sten mags.

Incidentally-
