OH SNAP!!! That looks good!! Think that is the first time I have seen under the hood of your car. What did Patrick think your gains were going to be? Is the Cage in and ready to rock?
P.S. Did I mention the is one clean set up under the hood?
Thanks Chris! Patrick told me .1 and 1 MPH at a minimum. My friend Collin Williams put one on his LSX 454 and picked up 18 rear wheel HP and .1 and 1 MPH in the 1/4 in 800 foot worse air.
The cage is finished and I just need to get the new carpeting fitted and put the seats back in.
Hope so.
Uh Oh! Can't wait for the track results with that SV1:yes:
I'll be sure to report back
Thanks.
Very clean indeed. I love the vacuum pump setup and what looks like a motor plate.Very nice.Did you do all the work? I`m building a 69 camaro with a famous TC 498 build. Any secrets you wanna share? Keep us posted on the SV1
Thanks Doug. Yes, Iv'e done all the work myself on this car. Drop me a PM with any particular questions you have about the combo. It's been posed on T/C a few times also.
Nice!!!
Is there going to be a back to back test with your 4bbl?
Unfortunately, I either had to sell my HP1000 or knock over a Seven 11 so I choose to sell my HP1000. LOL I didn't get to make many passes last fall due to lack of a 10 pt. cage but I know this combo well enough to know if the carb picks it up.
If there's ever been a carb with sex appeal, the SV1 is it!
Looking forward to hearing how well it does...
Yeah, they are unique looking. Kind of like a dominator on steroids. LOL
Thanks.
Cool Stuff and clean engine for sure.
Looking forward to the feedback. I have plans to use the roadcourse prepped / built SV1on my car when I get to the engine build.
Thanks. Patrick has been good to work with and history proves he works with his customers to ensure they are happy the the performance of his carbs. The litmus test is the timeslip as we all know but sometimes it's just nice to try things. I could drop 5 or 6k and pick up .2 in the 1/4 with a lightweight trans or drop a 1/5 of that and try to pick up a tenth with a carb. None of this stuff is cheap but looking at bang for the buck in my combo, I thought a larger carb was/is worth a try. If it pans out it will have been a cheap investment (relatively speaking)
