It would be beneficial to get a job related to your field if possible. It really shines on a resume. How about working as a plant worker at a "chemical" place. This would familiarize you with equipment and have "keywords" on your resume that would come up with job searches.
From 15 years old to after graduating college, I had about 10-12 jobs. Some sucked but were worth the learning experience. One is currently saving me $80 a month (Cableguy!!!!).
Try something new that may be helpful in the future, construction, painting, etc....
