I airing up my wifes tires the other day, it was fairly warm out, feeling like spring. For some reason my mind flashed back to a warm spring day with my first car. My dad came out and found me filling the tires and asked if I was replacing the winter air with summer air. What??? 'Sure' he said, 'You don't want to run around with that old winter air in your tires....' He had the naive teen for a second or two.....Thinking back to it gave me a chuckle....I should call him and remind him of that one....

Takes me back to the days when I used to work at the gas station....We used to fill up tire bags with air & tell the stooges that came into the station that they should change the air in their tires, went right along with flasher fluid

Did you guys see the one a long while back where the guy was selling vintage air? IIRC he had some scuba tanks that had been filled in the late 60's but supposedly never got used. I think it was on EBay but honestly can't remember. Pretty funny though.

In the early 60's, I worked at a Phillips 66 station. We had a regular customer, a little old lady, who periodically came in and asked that we pick the gravel out of her tire treads and change the air in the tires. TRUE STORY
