This is something I have wanted to do for a long time.
Just got my seat back this week from the upholstery shop. This is for my 1971 El Camino SS with Sandalwood interior. Definitely what the factory should have offered.
This upholstery was made from scratch using my stock bench seat as a reference for a pattern.

Thanks for the kind words.
Here's a picture of the interior before the change.

The seat I bought was power but was missing the mechanism when I bought it. I bought a 6 way power seat track out of late '60's Buick. As I understand it they are mostly the same. The tracks are mounted but did not use the existing holes. The power seat tracks require dual studs.

Any pictures of the back of the seat? Does it have the plastic backs and lower plastic skirts that a bucket seat would have? If so will you be putting the two post style headrests on? Was this an early 70's Olds Cutlass or Pontiac Lemans seat? Could it have been from a Toronado or Rivierra? Thank you.
