Stolen Chevelles and Insurance

Since we are on the (very sad) subject of stolen Chevelles, has anyone had to make a claim (stolen or otherwise) with a classic car insurance company? There are several on the internet with low prices but which ones can be trusted to be there when you have a claim? I insured my Chevelle with State Farm until I have more info.

I keep posting this because...well, just because it's pretty good info.

There's an article on classic car insurance in an old issue of Event Scene magazine. Folks who frequented Petersen events in the mid-90s may have a copy. I can make a copy for any interested parties. It has lots of background info and lists contact info for several specific companies which deal with classic cars exclusively.

Jeremy,
While I totally agree with you and understand your point, the other side of the coin is:

My then-eighteen-year-old brother was crabbing about high insurance and how teenage boys could be very safe drivers. Two weeks later he pulled my Nova out into the path of a Toyota. The irony: my brother was borrowing my car while I was at college, and the Toyota driver had borrowed the car from her daughter (who was attending the same college as me) so the daughter could use her mom's wagon to move stuff back from school. It's hard to escape fate.
