I've got a bone stock 1972 402 (8.5-1CR) motor. Originally a 2bbl motor with casting #: 6272292 heads. I've been reading about putting older closed chamber heads on the 402's to bump compression. I ran across a set of 1965 heads (#3856206) that need a valve job for $150. Are these heads compatible with the stock dome pistons in the 402? The piston is pictured in the Chevrolet by the numbers book but I'm not sure if they will work. Last question is would anyone know the compression ratio for that combo??? I dont want to be more than 9.5-1 MAX. Any help would be great.
